Jealousy at Work

Jealousy at Work
Written by Justina Braun

For the last few weeks, I've been astonished at how powerful jealousy can be.
It starts with not having the same thing as another, and soon you feel like everyone's
against you, as you soon will see.
Once it has a hold on people, every little thing that happens to you or others has
a totally different story.
And the longer it festers, and is not properly taken care of, the bigger and gorier the story.

Jealousy makes relationships of many kinds fall apart; miscommunication is all it takes.
You feel hurt because you were left out or left behind, and in your head you tell yourself
 it wasn't a mistake.
it does not matter the case, the cause, or how big or small, you believe that lie because
jealousy has clouded your judgement.
And this emotion will lead us down a negative path to the point where we start tearing
others down without acknowledgement.

It blinds you and drives you to do things that you normally wouldn't do when thinking clearly.
When you start getting the feeling of jealousy, repent, before you hurt someone severely.
And if you think that's not true, then go to Genesis 4:8, where God tells us of Cain's
testimony of how he killed Abel.
That was purely jealousy in control, so please listen to me now while you're still able!

In the Bible (James 4:1-2), it is clearly stated that if we let jealousy in, it will become the
desire that battles from within.
We desire what we don't have, and covet what we can't get; that's were it becomes sin.
In Galatians 5:19-21, jealousy makes people not only argue and cause trouble, but they
are envious which makes it hard to be around them.
It is also written that anyone engaged in this activity will not share the blessing of God's
kingdom, therefore repent or be condemned.

You might feel me being a bit harsh with the wording,
but that's why I put the Bible verses in. This way  you can do
your own study up in it. I was not writing to anyone personally,
just was inspired to write it because of it's importance.

A Mother's Job

A Mother's Job
written by Justina Braun

She wakes up early each morning and finds her shoes,
Shortly after, a menu she finds for a meal to choose.
In the breakfast section is her first meal to construct,
And not too soon after, the aroma sails through the air duct.

This of course greets the nostrils of the peaceful sleepers.
The smell of bacon and eggs in the air is a faster wake-up call than a beeper.
She hears the footsteps on the stairs as she sets the table,
And after all have settled down, their voices go up in praise as their hearts are able.

Just as soon as the meal is done, the table gets cleared.
She watches the children make a dash for the bus and disappear.
As she turns around, away from the window, she hears the dishes call her name.
And of course if they didn't get done, it would become her shame.

She takes out the chicken to thaw ahead of time for lunch,
And decides to make a little treat to send to school for snack after lunch.
She turns on the oven, and puts all ingredients into a bowl,
And once it's perfectly mixed, it gets pasted into a pan and rolled.

The oven beeper goes off, which means the oven is hot.
In go the rolls, and she hopes to forget not.
She looks at the clock, and notices it's time.
She'll have to hurry make lunch to make it on time.

She uses her thawed chicken to make a casserole,
And opens the oven to check on the baked rolls.
Out go the rolls and in goes the casserole for lunch.
And oh no, she forgot to make the kool-aid punch.

Once again, table is set and lunch is ready and served.
The food disappearing faster than made is not hard to observe.
She packs the treats and hands out to each one a pack,
Then off to school the kids go, and everything is back on track.

She realizes her day is half over, and million things need to get done.
She can't start painting just yet, because the paint is gone.
So out comes the sewing machine to clear the pile of ripped clothes,
And hurry finish mending, so as to not have them out grown.

The children come home from school, and she reminds them of their chores.
They eat their snacks and then start sweeping and mopping the floors.
She then decides to make something light for supper, and yet something not too hasty.
She pulls out leftovers that are heated up, and the table is set with something tasty.

That night, once her children were put to bed and sound asleep,
She recalculated her day and felt tired and ready to weep.
Yes, today was finish, but tomorrow was another day to come,
She closed her eyes, and started dreaming of tomorrows pie with plums!

The Pressure Of Pleasing People

The Pressure Of Pleasing People
Written by Justina Braun

I'm trying to gather all my emotions.
It's gotten too loud; I often can't hear through all the commotions!
I'm scared to take the next step, what if it's the wrong one?
For pleasing people is my trap, help me out before all hope is gone.

I get up each morning thinking to myself things will change,
But no one wants change cause it's something strange.
Now if it were only in the store I think I could make it work,
Many times I wonder if my forehand says, "trouble the clerk".

You may want to know what I mean with this.
It's like I'm kissing the ground people walk on and hope I won't miss.
For many years now I've been pleasing people,
And it seems that's what it is when you are business people!

By working in public and in view of many generations,
I realized I have learned to think before speaking in aggravation.
Yes, I'm still just human, and when hurt, I get defensive.
Yet I have learned to hold it all in, I just become sensitive.

Now don't get me wrong,
I'm a people person and that's my song.
Just sometimes it becomes hard to sing,
When the words do nothing but sting.

I know one thing for a fact,
I'm here for a reason and much more then just an act.
So if you need an encouragement upload, or even just a download of feeling,
Find me where I am, and carry on with a renewed feeling!

Something Beautiful

Something Beautiful
Written by Justina Braun

Nine months of growing and learning,
Nine months of waiting and listening.
Nine months of bonding and falling in love,
Nine months of making something beautiful from above.

Entering the world oh so bright,
It takes only a breath, for love at first sight.
Give me love, care, and I'll grow,
And I'll fill your heart with joy that overflows.

Teach me how to love, pray, and obey,
And I'll do my best to respect, and not run away.
Your everyday life is teaching me to stay true,
Because remember, I learn from watching you!

Just think once you're old and grey,
I'll be the one to help you make your way.
And not only will I be a help, but also there to encourage,
For that's when you'll appreciate that you taught me at a young age!

Live Like Jesus

Live Like Jesus
Written by Justina Braun

Why don't we protect lives like Jesus did?
Instead we start counting the lives of animals more important.
We all don't want to say anything to not be the one to look stupid,
Yet in plain words, we've become hard and arrogant.

We might get angry and ask why no one is doing anything about it,
And that's were Jesus would say, look at yourselves first, cause that's were it all begins.
In most cases, people will only do something about it, if it will be to their benefit.
And yet for those who are ready for eternity, the situation should be a win!!

How many times do we see others needs before we start worrying about our?
We cry and complain about everything we don't have and want.
So just think what Jesus feels when he looks down and hears us moan,
"I give and give, yet I'm not enough to satisfy their wants?"
